Great time @ AnnaLena! We came to AnnaLena for our 2nd wedding anniversary dinner. We have heard all the buzz about this place and the pictures allover on IG and other social media.
Food were amazing! Beautifully plated dishes that taste absolutely outstanding and impressively delicious. Very innovative and interesting Canadian cuisine with lots of Asian elements into the dishes and wonderfully creative flavors and textures.

We were seated by the window and it was gorgeous in the summer evening.
Annalena is located in the heart of Kitsilano area, street view by the windows.
Oyster - compressed apple, jalapeno mignonette, shaved foie gras
The oysters were sooooo fresh!!!! The effect of adding apple and the shaved foie gras were absolutely delicous. OMG, MUST EAT!

Wonderful starter!! I forgot the name of the salad, it was one of the daily specials. The ingredients were so fresh and the dressing was so delicious and refreshing.
Mussels - off the shell, tiroler bacon, smoke, thyme oil, balsamic, torn bread
Great taste, awesome!!! It was very tasty to eat with the soft and chewy house made bread!
Mussels were smaller in size but so fresh!
Two thumbs up to the grilled bread, sooo good!
Sablefish - seared, eggplant puree, miso glaze, baby bok choy, chive beurre blanc
It was amazingly good, my favorite of the night. One of the best sablefish I have ever had. It was very soft and tender inside with the seared light crispy on the outside. It was very fresh and flavorful. I really like the Asian elements in this dish too!
Apple - truffle caramel apple, blonde brownie, lemon curd, cream cheese ice cream
This dessert is to die for!!! The cream cheese ice cream was very smooth and rich flavor. The flavor of the caramel apple was light and crisp with the hint of truffle flavors, perfect match with the brownie and ice cream. MUST EAT.
Chicken Skin - chocolate covered fried chicken skin
Big Surprise! It was super crispy and delicious. The chicken skin was deep fried and dipped with chocolate to perfection, perfect taste, texture and even the temperature! Oh my god it was so good! The chocolate enhanced the flavors of the deep fried chicken skin. MUST EAT.
All dishes were amazingly delicious and we enjoyed our anniversary dinner a lot at AnnaLena. I am really excited to see such a high qaulity Canadian cuisine in town and definitely be on my top list of dinning place!
