Pho 37 @ Richmond
Food: 4/5 Service: 3.5/5 Atmosphere: 3./5 Price: Avg. $11/person
Pho 37 is a small pho joint located at Ironwood mall. We came here for lunch on Sunday and it was packed with people already. We wait for 15 minutes so it was not bad.
The broth here is MSG free, I was really looking forward to taste the real richness of the beef soup! We came here mainly for their signature Pho tuan that we have heard lots of raving reviews. And I agree that Pho Tuan is a MUST EAT at Pho 37!
Item 40 Tuan's Special Beef Noodle Soup @ 9.75
The signature dish, #40 Pho Tuan that you must try. The beef soup was very rich with unique flavors. The very small thin sliced gingers and garlic gave a beautiful aroma and taste in the soup. The raw egg had a amazing chemcial reaction into the soup noodles, added more dimensions of the flavors.
Never seen gingers, garlic and raw egg in a bowl of PHO, it was a new and very interesting experience. The soup was flavorful with a note of sweetness, not greasy at all but it was still hot enough when I was about to finish the noodles. The beef slices were cooked before adding to the pho, the beef tasted rich in beefiness and great texture.
Item 6 Green papaya salad with prawns @ $8.50
Fresh and delicious! Love die the basil and the shrimp crackers were super crunchy and fresh. It was different from the Thai style, this salad was not a spicy salad. The flavors were mild and actually from the herbs and the fish dipping sauce. Thumbs up!
Pho 37 is a definitely must try PHO joint if you drop by in the neighborhood. Item 40 the signature Pho Tuan is my favorite. I will come back for sure to try their standard pho and also other dishes in the near future.
