Asakusa Sushi @ South Burnaby
Food: 3.5/5 Service: 2/5 Atmosphere: 2/5 Price: Avg. $15/person
A friend has read my post of Sushi Garden earlier and recommended us to go Asakusa immediately. He said it's better value than Sushi Garden without the long queues.
Asakusa Sushi is located right across from Metrotown and it's only a few minutes walk from Sushi Garden on Kingsway. Asakusa is a small sushi joint operated by Vietnamese when Sushi Garden is Korean run.
Saba @ $1.30/pc, Chopped Scallop/Toro @ $1.60/pc

We were not too hungry so we only ordered nigiri sushi. We did not try their rolls this time.
The sushi were big portions; about 25% bigger size then Sushi Garden. The fish quality was OK fresh in general. Saba and Ikura were too salty.

As many reviews have commented, generous portions at a very affordable price range.
However, I would say Sushi Garden is still better in terms of the overall food quality. If you do not want to wait long, Asakusa is a good alternative option on Kingsway.
