Coco Hut Restaurant @ Central Richmond
Food: 3/5 Service: 2/5 Atmosphere: 2/5 Price: Avg. $12/person
Coco Hut Restaurant is a small restaurant specialized in Malaysian/Singaporean food located in Union Square, Richmond. A very good friend of mine strongly recommend us to go Coco Hut for Hainanese chicken. She said it's way better than Mui Garden and Café D’Lite Express so we went there for Sunday lunch. We ordered the lunch combo for Two; included one appetizer , two entrees and two drinks.
BBQ Satay Skewers - Chicken
Average, not bad.

Laksa Noodles in Soup
Hainanese Chicken with Flavor Rice
Delicious! The boneless chicken was so soft and tender. Rice was so so.
Entrée for hubby - A lil disappointed. The soup base was different from the one we had in Singapore. The taste was more like Canton style to us. It was too spicy and salty.

For the price of $20.95 a combo meal for two, I cannot complain at all. I would come back for their signature Hainanese chicken and maybe curry next time. There was only one staff without smile to serve all tables. I guess she hardly do so when she needs to take care orders, serve dishes and clean up. If you plan to grab a quick lunch, service could be slow during rush hours.
