MoMa Contemporary Bistro @ Cambie Road

Moma Bistro is a small pleasant restaurant located on Cambie road in Richmond. They serve French and Italian cuisines with the elements of fusion taste. We picked this place for our friend's birthday dinner at a Sunday night. There were only 2 tables of guests included us for the night.
Nice environment and atmosphere to have dinner for a small group of people .

Pork belly was crispy and flavorful with a touch of Asian taste, reminding me the taste of Chinese roasted pork.
A piece of foie gras on top of fries in gravy and cheese curds. Good try.
In my point of view, taste was so so. I would rather go for some good old fashioned places for traditional Poutine.
BC Sable Fish
Accordingly to hubby, taste was good and soft but portion was too small.
2-piece of sable fish = 1 piece of fillet @ Mcdonalds.
My friend's entrée:
Clams and Crab Pasta
As per our friend, the taste was not bad but it did not stand out from other Western restaurants in town. Generous portions of clams but holy cow they did not get the sand out of clams well. There were still sandy stuff inside most clams.
I could totally understand that the sand inside clams would totally change the focus from the taste to the unpleasant texture.
Birthday Girl's Entrée:
Duck Breast
As per our birthday girl, the taste was so so. A lil bit pricey for the average quality of food.
My entrée: Grilled Rib Eye
Meat was tender and grilled nicely but not impressive. The sauce had a hint of Asian touch; a little bit salty to me.
Overall, prices are still reasonable for fine dining compared with other restaurants in Downtown area. The food quality was average; dishes are in nice presentation and well prepared. It is not a bad choice if you like to have a fine dining meal in Richmond and too lazy to go all the way to Downtown.
