Siena @ Fairview
Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Price: Avg. $65 person
FANTASTIC SPOT! Excellent food and ambiance, perfect experience at Siena on Granville Street. Strongly recommended to come for a causal dinner at this cozy restaurant. AND, make plan to go on MONDAY night with friends or colleagues for the half price bottled wine deal!
Everyone was very friendly there. Our server was very attentive, professional and friendly. She told us about the Happy Hour from 8-10pm with food and drink specials. Cannot wait to go back again! The lighting and decor make the environment so comfortable, cozy but not crowded. Price is very reasonable and food is incredibly delicious.
Today's Arancini @ $9 - Saffron, orange, grana padano, shallot and dijon aioli
Lovely and light "Little Orange", just like the taste we had in Italy!
Stuffed rice balls coated with bread crumbs then deep fried, crispy shell with the creamy cheese and rice. Super delicious!
Today's Bruschetta @ $9 - Thyme roasted roma tomato, crumbled feta, fig balsamico
Delicious and refreshing.
Crispy salt cod brandade cakes @ $13 - Red pepper relish, batard toast, french basil
The made the salt cod spread into small cake shape and deep fried to brown and crisp, top with tomatoes. Very flavorful to eat with the toasted bread.
Double Chocolate Torte @ $7- Blackberry chantilly chocolate ganache
Not my favorite one but okay.
Remember to check out the daily specials menu on the chalkboard. (I did not take photo of the chalkboard because the restaurant was packed, not wanted to interrupt others near the chalkboard).
What a gem! We will be back in the near future!

Main - Grilled beef tendoloin, toasted walnuts, gorgonzola compound butter, red wine jus, rosemary, mashed yukons, roasted zucchini @ $34
The meat was so tender, juicy, rich tasting and full of flavors. The sauce was on the heavier side for me but the taste was so good! The potato puree was good texture and so tasty with the sauce. And the gorgonzola compound butter sent me to heaven! The melting flavorful compound butter enhanced the depths of flavors to the tendoloin.
