604 Just Eat: Canadian Cuisine @ CRAFT Beer Market

Jul 11th, 2015

CRAFT Beer Market @ Olympic Village

Food: 4/5   Service:  4/5   Atmosphere:  4.5/5   Price:  Avg. $40 person

CRAFT Beer Market is a premium casual bar food restaurant located in the historic Salt Building in Olympic Village.  We went there for dinner with a group of 8 to celebrate hubby's birthday.  It was my first time visit and I was very excited the endless selection of draft beer and varieties items on the menu.  We were seated at the lovely raised mezzanine; spacious and private area to enjoy our beers and dishes while enjoying the comfortable and inviting atmosphere on the main floor.  Found that their dishes are not only traditional bar food; actually they are quite creative with lots of fusion ideas.

I really love the vintage feel interior décor!  Very high ceilings, rustic wood trusses and the floor to ceiling windows!  There is a huge island bar in the center of the main floor.

 6 Pack Sampler - World Tour @ $12.75
Interesting!  I really like the first beer which was the lightest one among 6 glasses.  It tasted like sweetened ice tea with bubbles; easy to drink even you are not a beer lover.  Hubby likes the last dark beer the most, tasted like espresso.  Other than the samplers, our friends tried some premium draft beer too!
Menu of the 6 pack sampler

My glass of wine~

Charcuterie and Cheese Board @ $ 21
Assorted cheese and locally cured meats served with crostinis, preserves and mustard
Standard quality.
 Craft Vegetable Platter @ $ 12
Served with a cashew edamame dip, roasted shishito peppers and flatbread
Fresh ingredients!  I like it!

Fast Food Sushi @ $12
Cheeseburger and fries wrapped in bacon and presented sushi style.
A fusion dish of cheeseburger pretending Japanese sushi, served with chopsticks.  The bacon pieces were the seaweed and the jalapeno cream cheese & BBQ dips was the traditional soy sauce and wasabi.  Cute and tasty!

Nacho Barrel @ $18
Jalapenos, poblano peppers, green onion, sour cream and fresh pico de gallo
Typical must order dish to go with beer; good quality.

Fresh Fig and Chickpea @ $17
Fresh spinach topped with chickpeas, oranges, shaved radish, naturally raised grilled chicken and goat cheese, tossed with spicy orange dressing
Very fresh ingredients and the dressing was very refreshing.  Delicious but not outstanding kind.

Craft Signature Sticky Ribs @ $26
Baby back ribs tossed in a black garlic and miso BBQ sauce
Ribs were tender and juicy.

 Butterscotch Budino @ $7
Topped with crispy rice wafers and shaved chocolate
Yummy!

 Dessert in a Jar @ $8
Stout infused chocolate cake, sponge toffee, sliced bananas, cashews, chocolate sauce topped with Earnest vanilla ice cream and served in a jar
I love it!  So creamy and rich flavors in different layers.  My sweet tooth was so happy and satisfied!

Great place to go for groupie celebrations; I really like the atmosphere here.  Good portions to share at a reasonable price range.  Thumbs up to the desserts!  I am not sure why CRAFT does not take reservations.  We all tried to be there early to get the table but we found that half of the tables are not filled yet.  If CRAFT can take reservations, it would be a great news for people who would like to secure table for the special occasions.
