Trattoria Italian Kitchen @ Kitsilano
Food: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Price: Avg. $35/person
Finally I can start catching up some posts after my eye laser surgery!
We wanted to have a causal brunch on the weekend so we decided to check out Trattoria Italian Kitchen at Kitsilano on Saturday.
Classic Italian Restaurant!

Classic Italian Restaurant!
The bread was sweet and moist like vanilla sponge cake.
My mimosa - no good! Skip it.
The coffee flavor cream was soft and buttery; good match with the sweet bread.
Something sweet to start off my brunch, I like it!

Signature Benny @ $12.95
English muffin, crispy pancetta, poached eggs, hollandaise, trattoria potatoes, greens
Egg benny is always my first choice on brunch menu and I do have high expectations after checking out some real good and delicious brunch spots. The benny here was so-so. I was kind of disappointed when it is one of the signature items.
The crispy pancetta was good but the hollandaise sauce was bland and tasteless.
Seafood Salad @ $21.95
Hand-peeled shrimp, salmon, seared albacore tuna, green beans, watercress, basil, herb vinaigrette
Fresh and delicious!
Spaghetti and Signature Meatballs@ $17.95
The pasta was average but the meatballs was good!
Overall the food quality was okay but the flavors were not outstanding. All servings were generous at reasonable price range. I would say Trattoria is a casual brunch place to go with friends and family on the weekend but there are definitely some better choices in town compared with it.
