West Oak @ Yaletown
Food: 3.5/5 Service: 4/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Price: Avg. $30/person
YAYYYYY!!! Hubby and I wanted to celebrate our beautiful Canada day with a happy brunch! We decided to try West Oak. West Oak is located on Mainland street in Yaletown specialized in Canadian/Pacific Northwest cuisine. We have never been there before. We found this place when we were searching places for causal brunch on open table. They had a small menu but looked good with lots of selections.
Hubby's Sangria (forgot to snapshot the menu for exact name and price)
We found out that the cocktail was premade and pour out from a pitcher, we think that was the reason that the flavour not rich enough. It tastes good, but not perfect.
MY Coffee!
Mussels & Fries @ $15
Would be perfect if richer flavor!
Yummy fries!Lobster Benedicts
Average, taste was a little bit bland.
Flaxseed Pancake @ $12
I love it! Healthy pancakes that actually taste good! The blueberry compote was sooo good and refreshing. The sourness of the blueberry did balance out the sweetness of maple syrup. I finished all three pancakes.
Prices are reasonable range and good portions too. The servers were great and pleasant. It is a good place to chill out with friends for a causal meal. I would love to come again for Happy Hour. We enjoyed our meal a lot as a great start for our holiday.
