604 Just Eat: Desserts @ Forty Ninth Parallel Cafe and Lucky's Doughnuts

Apr. 11th, 2015

Forty Ninth Parallel Café and Lucky's Doughnuts

@ Main St.

Food:  4/5   Service:  2.5/5   Atmosphere:  2.5/5   Price:  Avg. $4/person

It was totally different and distinctive from Tim Hortons.  I did not visit Lucky's Doughnuts in person.  My husband drove to Lucky to get the doughnuts by himself before lunch at Stanley Park.  Therefore, no exterior and interior photos of the café this time.
Lucky's handcrafted doughnuts are made fresh daily and features local and seasonal ingredients.

The doughnuts were absolutely perfect afternoon snacks on our way to Harrison Hot Springs.  Happy sweet tooth!

Apple and bacon, topped with a maple glaze and even more bacon.
Heavenly delicious artisan doughnut!
The crispy exterior crust with the bacon bits on top and interior had a well balanced of sweetness with the maple glaze on top.  It was a light sweet flavor option and non greasy at all.  Inside was light and soft.

Dulce & Banana
It was one of the seasonal features for the day.
The banana flavor was rather light compared with the creamy glazed and candied walnuts.  The doughnut was moist and soft.  Not bad!

I like Apple and Bacon more.  I'll definitely come back to check out the café and try more favors with their coffee next time;  I have my wishlist already!  I do not mind paying more for a high quality and delicious handcrafted doughnut.
