Kongee Dinesty, a new Chinese restaurant located on Garden City/ Capstan Way.
We came here for dinner last time and we were very happy to enjoy the Chinese dishes we had. We came again with my dad to try their congee and Chinese donuts for Sunday lunch.

The congee was really good and flavorful. Mild seasoning and not salty. No MSG or very tiny bit. Lots ingredients in it. The texture and thickness of the congee was just about right. It did not become watery when the bowl of congee was sitting for a period of time while we were enjoying other dishes. Pretty big Canadian portion and good enough to share with 2 people.
Fresh and tasty! All their Chinese donuts are made in-house.

thick and soft inner body with nice crisp and crunchy crust just like French bread.

Rice Roll with Green Onion & Dried Shrimp @ $4.75
Rice roll is freshly made in-house. I saw the chef cooking and rolling the rice roll from the display open kitchen.
I like it so much. Perfect texture; not sticky.
Beef Stir Fried Rice Noodle with Soy Sauce @ $13.80
Tasted average; a lil oily. Huge portion. Beef was not juicy.
Congee was good, Chinese donut freshly made. Large portions at reasonable prices. Very nice and attentive service. We will come back!
