Zhao's Soup House is an authentic Chinese Restaurant located on ground floor in the same building with the Jade Chinese Restaurant on Alexandra Road. It is a heaven place if you are a big fan of Chinese soup. At first I thought their dishes toward to the Northern side which are more rich in flavors with seasoning, sauces and greasy kinds. I was totally wrong; the dishes were not salty and greasy at all. It is a good alternative option of Chinese food other than Canton style. We enjoyed our family dinner a lot here on Sunday night.

Gingko Pig Stomach Ribs Soup @ $12
The soup was served in a clay pot; it was piping hot! Delicate and sweet soup without MSG, thumbs up!
Sweet! Not many restaurants are willing to make this dish anymore due to the complicated procedure and cannot sell in high price. I love it!
The scallop was fresh and huge; delicious!
Braised Chicken with Chestnuts in Clay Pot @ $16.95
The chicken was well marinated and cooked perfectly.
Hidden gem in Richmond! The price range is very reasonable in this food quality and portions. Their lunch meal sets are great deal too. The lunch set includes a small bowl of soup, starter and entrée. The menu shows big pictures of the dishes so do not worry if you cannot read Chinese. We would definitely come back for the soup in the future!
